Chair of the Conservative Party's Economic Competitiveness Policy Group and one of the leading politicians of his generation gives his view on:

Before entering Parliament, John enjoyed a successful career in banking, academia and as head of Margaret Thatcher's policy unit. Elected MP for Wokingham in 1987, John served as Minister for Local Government and Secretary of State for Wales in John Major's government. He  also served as Shadow President of the Board of Trade under William Hague's leadership of the Conservative Party. John is a prolific writer whose books include 'Our Currency, Our Country' and 'Just Say No: 100 Arguments Against the Euro.'

 

 

This event gives you the opportunity both to hear the views of one of Britain's top politicians and experience one of London's top private members clubs.
